Enjoy the beautiful lanes and walk the footpaths, one of which is right next to our Cabin. Tavistock is a few minutes drive and full of foodie and artisan shops. Dartmoor can be seen and is only a 10 minute drive. Be sure to visit Brentor church (one of the highest in the UK 1,100 ft) with stunning views of Dartmoor from the top!

The Forge is a unique place full of character set at the edge of Dartmoor and only 2 miles from the market town of Tavistock. The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.

Milemead is a coarse fishery, and fishing is available to guests. We are located 2 miles from the historic town of Tavistock, 3 miles from spectacular Dartmoor and from popular mountain bike trails, making this a great destination for walkers, runners and cyclists.

This is a perfect base to explore the South West and Dartmoor. There is a clawfoot bath with a separate wet room shower (not visible in photos). Please note, there are no laundry fascilities.
