It was the church where Beatrice Portinari's family had their own graves, andthis were you still can visit the tombstone of Beatrice's father: Folco Portinari. Ancient stories narrate that this is the church, where Dante, aged 9, saw Beatrice for the first time, fell in love at first sight and kept loving her for the rest of his life. The Apartment is on the first floor (no lift but the stairs are large and manageable... just a few steps from the front door and you are in a flat), of a typical old Florentine building whouse foundation are lost in antiquity. The lay-out of the street was built in the Roman period. It is and ideal choise for a family looking for a home, away from home. It consists of 90 mq and includes: Living room & Dining room, Kitchen, Bathroom (newly rennovated), Veranda, 2 Bedrooms both confortable, and with full (2) or singles (4) beds to be arranged at your request - Possibility of an extra bed (or cot) for a child. There is the possibility for 2 more people for 15€ each night

My husband and I have lived in the house for eight years, a great love binds us to this space and in making it available to guests we hope it will be their home during their stay in Florence. You can use a well-equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, fridge, espresso machine, kettle with a selection of teas and herbal, toaster the necessary to cook (salt, pepper, oil..). In the bathroom you will find shampoo and shower gel you can use on your needs but with attention to sharing with others.
