The Lodge at Caherkelly

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels

Curraghmore Cottage

Curraghmore Cottage is a lovingly restored traditional Irish cottage, nearly 100 years old. Once a Land Commission home, it retains its original charm with stone sheds, gardens, and a timeless atmosphere.
