It has air-conditioning, a microwave and fridge. There is free 10 mbps wi-fi. It is adjacent to a large sparkling swimming pool and isn't suitable for persons who are not water-smart. It has a private entrance & safe parking. Two large friendly dogs may be in attendance. A portable braai and free wood is available on request

Playwright's House, Nieu-Bethesda

This unpretentious, rustic and secluded Karoo home is where internationally acclaimed playwright and writer Athol Fugard wrote between 1990 and 2017. It's on the peaceful northeastern corner of our quaint village. Crystal-clear Karoo air, intense night skies, crackling winter fires, tranquillity. Charming Heritage Cottage

This historic townhouse is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The private courtyard is ideal for a braai (barbecue), or a quiet coffee. The house is child-friendly, and pets are welcome too. A gun-safe is provided, ideal for hunters. The stove is gas, so cooking during load-shedding is never a problem! As with many Graaff-Reinet houses, there is ONLY ON-STREET PARKING. There is also no TV.

The Voetpad Cottage ia a comfortable family cottage with two rooms and one bathroom. Please note the bathroom leads out of the main bedroom. The unit forms part of the historic main house that dates from the 1850’s, but has a separate entrance in a quiet gravel cul-de-sac. It has a small, private courtyard with a Weber braai.
