There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

On the southern side of the beach is the famous Smugglers Creek pub - a traditional Irish seaside pub with breathtaking views of the beach and surrounding areas.
