You are welcome to explore the 33 acre property and a must see is the panoramic view from the hill. The quiet tree lined dirt road behind is a perfect walking trail. This farm is 35 mins from Adelaide and only 10 mins drive to shops or local eateries. We invite you to experience life on a working farm.

The shower setup is unconventional, though does provide a warm - hot shower depending on the weather! - READ BELOW. The cottage cold water tap is drinkable, no hot tap. Perfect for walking and riding, the Heysen and Kidman trails are accessible through our back gate. Famous McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wineries are nearby. While the guest suite is attached to the main house, it is quite separate and totally private. A 50 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD and a 20 minute drive from southern beaches, it is perfect for a weekend escape.

If you're looking for a home away from home Mae’s is for you. Close to the river and within walking distance to Main Street and cafes. She’s not fancy but she’s clean and recently renovated with a beautiful big gas stove and a homely feel. She is over 100 years old so the doors stick from time to time and the wooden floors may creak. The house is professionally deep cleaned after every guest. House is not suitable for small children under 5 years of age

Carlisle Alpaca Farm Stay Veranda Retreat

Carlisle Alpacas is situated on an 80 acres farm in the Adelaide Hills abundant in bird and native wildlife. There are two BnB the Veranda Retreat and the new Cottage Escape with rural views with easy access to cellar doors and restaurants. The Veranda Retreat is isolated from the main residents and is self contained free space filled with fresh county air, great walks along the creek down to the Dawesley ruins while meeting the friendly alpacas.
