The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dogs accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Plenty of space for the families with pingpong table & foosball & bball hoop. We ARE NOT suitable for children <5 due to the spiral staircase/deck. NO pets. The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

Our Mountain Gem (O.M.G!) is a stacked duplex (that rents as one whole house) in walking distance to: Chimney Rock Village, Lake Lure Marina, Morse Park, Lake Lure Beach front, restaurants and many activities. The house is great for gathering with family and friends with the wonderful ability to have your own separate space. You may inquire about the possibility of bringing your cherished, well-behaved Fur baby (dog). (Rules and fees will be determined during that discussion.)
