It is 2 minutes drive off the A49 in Batch Valley with immediate accessibility of vast walking, biking trails &1 minutes walk to the local pub(The Yew Tree) which serves excellent food. One mile from Church Stretton Cardingmill Valley & has access to over 12 local pubs in the area . Dogs are very welcome at a small extra cost

An historic building in the heart of Carding Mill Valley, a National Trust site. The Old Factory is the oldest building in the valley, in the middle of the Shropshire hills. Hill walks, cycling, star gazing, and wild swimming from your door, then home to the ideal place to relax. The Garden Room is a private, cosy, off-grid apartment that's perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic kitchen facilities along with a king size bed, a wood burning stove and a piping hot shower. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Lovely up here this time of year and plenty of wildlife to be seen - deer grazing in the garden early morning, nesting curlews calling as they circuit the house and everything coming into bud.

Our lodge lies in a sheltered spot above the bank of the Darnford Brook as it gently meanders along the Shropshire Way. The private garden connects with the footpath leading straight up onto the Long Mynd where you can explore the 5000 acre National Trust AONB, including the Jack Mytton Way and Offas Dyke. Alternatively, follow the byway as it makes its way towards the Stiperstones. The well maintained paths, bridleways and mountain bike trails offer fabulous opportunities for exploring.
