This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

A short distance away numerous beaches, beautiful walks and magical views can be found. It is a ten minute walk to Eyeries village

Harbour Lights

If you love the ocean, you will love this place. It is an ocean front property looking out at the Bere Island Lighthouse and Harbour’s Mouth. This is a very quiet and private house on a one- acre property within a 15-minute walking distance to the center of Castletownbere. Entrance is thru a private automatic gate and has a slipway to the sea. This is a beautiful area to go canoeing, fishing, and swimming. Seals can be seen from time to time as can the fishing boats going out to sea.

Shepherds Hut overlooking Kilmackilogue Harbour

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

Planning a tranquil escape while taking in breathtaking views. Imagine waking up to see the sun rise over Bantry Bay or sit outside having a glass of wine as the sun sets. The the Dun-Oir Den is your destination. It is a hill walker and mountaineer's dream as there are short hikes or longer treks to the top of mountain peaks which look over the beautiful Bantry & Dunmanus Bays. A brand new luxury timber frame glamping pod, set in a wonderful rural village in West Cork called Eyeries. We are a working beef farm and can look after your bikes/motorbikes on site in a safe environment. The Pods have wonderful mountain views and to those who enjoy nature and getting away from the madness for a little while, then this is for you. Each pod is like a little mini apartment. We live near them, so can help with any questions that you might have.
