It has great views of both the native bush and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the beauty, the outdoor space, the sunrise and sunsets and it is off-grid!. The romantic cabin has a relaxing outdoor claw foot bath overlooking the river; wrap around decks, 5 acres of sub-tropical gardens to explore; a private jetty and boathouse, deserted sandy beaches a short paddle downstream; and 150 acres of organic farmland, native bush and river to fish, swim, kayak and explore.

Tui Bush Cabin

Take a short drive (approx 3kms) up the valley from Ngunguru to Tui Bush Cabin. This is where you can relax amongst the native bush, and listen to the tui's chatter from dawn till dusk. Our beautiful small wooden cabin comprises of a fitted kitchen with a 4 burner gas hob, convection microwave, toaster, jug, refrigerator and sink. A drop leaf table and chair. A double bed with sheets and duvet. Separate bathroom with flush toilet, basin and shower. Outside decking with table and chairs.

Koutu Cove: Luxe 1 Bedroom Pod

Welcome to the Riverside Studio from where a short stroll takes you to the Town Basin marina with cafes, shops and restaurants and the Hundertwasser art center and park. Maybe you fancy a walk around the Town Basin loop. Beautiful native bush walks up Parihaka from where you can enjoy sweeping views over the city and Whangarei Harbour or along the Hatea River, are on your door step. For a bigger work out you can keep going, via A.H. Reed park, right up to the Whangarei falls.

A little slice of paradise

Here is something a little different and special. If you are after a relaxing holiday experience surrounded by nature, but want more creature comforts than camping can provide, then this beautiful open plan deck and separate cabin is just for you! Tucked away in a garden oasis, this property has a seaview over Mill Bay and across to the Karikari Peninsula. The spacious covered deck for entertaining includes a fully powered utility with kitchen, bathroom and laundry.

Peaceful Rural Retreat

Our converted half-round barn is a peaceful escape located in the rural outskirts of historical Kerikeri. It's filled with books, toys for the kids, an eclectic collection of secondhand furniture (and other things that might remind you of your nana's house) and a whole bunch of relaxation. Bedding provided for 6 but can easily sleep more if needed. Private backyard, firepit and stunning bushwalks. 10 min to Kerikeri. 25 min to Paihia and the Bay of Islands.
