Off grid cottage set in the heart of the Little Karoo within the Touwsberg Nature and Game Reserve. The reserve is well known for it's biodiverse fauna and flora and stunning scenery. Located off Route 62, midway between Barrydale and Ladismith, accessible with an average car/sedan, that has at least 17cm off ground clearance. The Cottage is well equipped, with indoor fireplace, cosy and completely private - the perfect Winter stay. Note: cell/3G reception requires a 2 minute walk; no wifi.

Each suite consists of a spacious, separate bathroom with walk in shower, bath & heated towel rail, couch, working area and kitchenette. Set in the heart of Swellendam, surrounded by the magnificent Langeberg mountains, these family friendly self catering cottages are perfect if you are looking for a cosy stay in Swellendam. Enjoy the lovely garden with shared outdoor swimming pool where you can cool off on hot summer days. We are located 5min from the town where can walk to the lovely delis and restaurants. Marloth Nature Reserve is 5 mins drive same as Bontebok Park for game viewing, cycling and nature walks.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.

This is our charming garden en-suite studio (solar powered) with large patio that overlooks the garden and pool. It is a great place to read a book, enjoy a glass of wine or have a dip in the shared pool. It's a 2 minute walk into town to the local shops and restaurants. We also have a separate cottage on the same property that can also be booked if required.

Wolverfontein Karoo: dWaenhuis

Lovingly restored historic barn on isolated farm at the foot of the Touwsberg. Luxury self catering with large open plan kitchen/lounge/dining and queen size separate bedroom. Exclusive use splash pool and shaded parking. Eskom power with solar backup to run the lights, plug points and wifi during loadshedding. Wolverfontein is the heart of the Klein Karoo.

The Studio @ The Place

Escape to our retreat for nature lovers, in the magical untouched Klein Karoo, easily accessible from Route62 and the N2. The Studio is comfortable, modern and open plan with private shaded outdoor seating, spectacular views, a plunge pool and free wifi. It sleeps 4 plus two children.
