Surrounded by ancient trees, water and birdlife, the cottage is an eclectic mix of vintage and modern finds. If you’re after a hotel experience, this may not be the place for you! Looking out over the semi-private beach you’ll feel miles from the city, yet downtown is just a 10min drive. Nau mai!

1km from Mairangi Bay (10 mins walk/2-3 mins drive).The guest area is below the main house & has its own entrance. The studio with HRV ventilation, heatpump and double glazing is ideal for solo travellers, couples with or without one small child. Please note that our downstairs studio has a low ceiling (1.98m high) and we don’t have a full kitchen. Breakfast: Tea/Coffee (Nespresso Machine)/Cereal and milk included. Double glazed cedar french doors provide a seamless flow from the kitchen and living area to a private deck for alfresco dining. Guests can relax on an outdoor sofa while enjoying a meal on the deck. Set in a garden setting, the house is self-contained with an eco composting toilet, unlimited WiFi, full shower & fridge/freezer and kitchen. Maximum of 2 guests.

Our waterfront accommodation is a great place to relax and unwind conveniently located overlooking the picturesque Putiki Bay. Sit on the deck and watch the sunset across the bay. The bay is a tidal and is a great spot for kayaking, paddle-boarding and swimming at high tide. With private waterfront views, the cottage is in with in easy reach of the islands beaches and local amenities, with the Ostend market and supermarket only 10 min walk.
