Horseshoe Cottage is as "cute as a button". This 18th century, 2 story, stone barn was originally a stable with cobbled floor & 3 horse stalls. Now it exudes character, warmth & rural charm with it's thick walls, cottage windows & wood burning stove. Situated in a quiet corner of a working farm yard, the accommodation boasts a Super King bed, luxurious shower room & Wifi, among vintage furnishings. Nestled among the drumlins of Strangford Lough, 1 mile from the charming village of Greyabbey.

The Little Birdhouse

Graded 5 Star by Tourism NI, our tiny cottage dates from the 1700s. Its name is both a nod to Bird Island on Strangford Lough and a reflection of our aim to create a cosy nest in which guests feel snug, comfy and relaxed. The cottage has recently been renovated but retains its historic charm. The furnishings are a mix of antique, vintage and second-hand finds that come together to create a cosy, relaxed, eclectic vibe that's stylish and reflects our commitment to recycle and re-use.

Bird Island Bothy

Wake with the rising sun, shrill calls of the wading birds, and waves breaking on the shore only meters away. The wild shore and vegetation provide a great habitat for birds, mammals, insects and spiders typical of the Irish coast. Wading birds can be seen feeding along the undisturbed shore. Bird Island Bothy has the feel of a sailing ship's cabin with chunky wooden beams, mock four-poster bed and plush velvet curtains. A great base from which to explore the Ards Peninsula.

The cosy cottage provides perfect accommodation for up to 4 people. You can enjoy the spa pool, sauna, and paddle boards whilst experiencing breath-taking views. The cottage is located a stones throw from the beach, with stunning views looking over Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. Only 5 minutes walk is the village of Kircubbin, where there are pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. With the water so close, wake up to the sounds, views & smell of the sea.

Take a break and unwind at our peaceful country cottage, with great views of the countryside, relax in the hot tub, maybe enjoy the sunset from the tub! we are Chris and Hannah, the owners of the Gate House and look forward to welcoming you for a relaxing rural break. The Gate House is located at the end of a country lane, as such it is not the most even of surfaces! vehicles with very low suspension may struggle 😬 we hope to see you soon Chris and Hannah

Relax in this recently renovated guesthouse nestled into a hill with beautiful views of the countryside. Plenty of space for 3 guests with two bedrooms (double and single beds) and an open living/dining/kitchen area. Cot and high chair available for infants- advise us if required. Sitting on the shores of the Irish Sea, Keeper’s Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to walk, beachcomb, birdwatch and explore. Close to the villages of Portaferry, Cloughey and Strangford, the area is rich in wildlife and heritage. Or just relax by the fire and soak up the magic of this unique place. Our other cottage, which is immediately adjacent, sleeps 4 and people often rent the two properties together for larger groups.
