Hekluhestar farm guesthouse

Our guesthouse was built by my parents, with the idea that it would be similar to the viking houses in the old days : a big open space, divided in three parts. It's nothing too fancy, but all basic necessities are here ! You also have access to two extra bathrooms and showers, and a sauna. The farm has horses, sheep, chicken and dogs roaming around ! The accommodation is strategically located, about one hour from Reykjavik, from the black sand beaches of Vik, and from the Golden circle.

Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. On the ground floor is a joint kitchen/living room includes a microwave and a dishwasher. The kitchen view is the sea itself. Toilet with a shower On the second floor has a bedroom loft with 2 queen size beds and one single person’s bed.

This house offers a unique experience via its open design with an attic resembling to a treehouse inside, surrounded with the Icelandic Highlands and a stream running past with a one-of-a-kind Magma Wall. A large sauna house is accessible after 9 PM, shared with another cabin on our premises close by.
