Climate controlled! What is a Yurt? Yurts originated in Mongolia. The Mongolian people were nomadic, and they took their homes (yurts) with them as they tended to, and traveled, with their livestock. Today yurts are built on a platform & consist of two thick layers of canvas with a layer of insulation in between, and most notably a domed skylight at their center. 5 mins to Alpine, 30 mins to Fort Davis, Marfa, and Marathon. Big Bend Park, Terlingua, & Lajitas are roughly 100 miles away.

Mountain View Guest House

A well-maintained guesthouse with the feel of the Old West. Located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but just minutes from downtown, the guesthouse is 30 feet from our house. We are very respectful of your privacy, and all of the facilities are yours to use. Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy the view, or visit with our livestock. We are pet-friendly. Relax around the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites.

Earth House is a private adobe home located within walking distance from all of the restaurants, boutiques, bars, and galleries in Marfa, TX. This is a lovingly curated space for passionate travelers, lovers of design, desert sun chasers, star gazers, and folks looking for the relaxation of a slow West Texas pace. This 1920s traditional structure has been extensively refurbished, every detail has been considered. Small/Medium dogs ok (max 40 lbs). $35 per dog per stay non-refundable.

Art-Filled Marfa Adobe

Located at the western edge of Marfa, this cozy, unique adobe offers a true Marfa experience, and the best isolation and comfort for you. The house is air conditioned and heated, has wifi and a smart TV. There is one bedroom downstairs with a comfy queen sized bed and one loft bedroom upstairs with a queen sized bed and fun views. Bike or walk to Highland Street for shopping, eating, and all the best Marfa sight-seeing!

The Dragonfly Cottage - Downtown

Tiny Cottage - Located in the heart of downtown Alpine, Texas, this separate, diminutive cottage (1 room and bath) was a teeny office (168sf) back in the day! The bed is only a 3/4 bed ( wider than a twin, but less wide than a double)! The TINY cottage is situated downtown, behind the locally owned salon and barber shop, Americana. Enjoy the Backyard, adjacent to the Dragonfly Cottage!

Just a short, three mile drive from Marfa proper, Square Roots is a perfect balance between minimalist comfort and desert charm.
