After going dark in the mid-1960s, the curtain was raised for the first time in 50 years in September 2015, reborn as a performing arts and movie venue for Tybee residents and visitors alike!

The monument was named after the Revolutionary War Hero Casimir Pulaski and was established as a National Monument by President Calvin Coolidge in October of 1924. Today the National Park Service strives to protect restore and manage the Fort Pulaski National Monument for all people to enjoy.

It is made up of salt marsh interspersed with hardwood hammocks and fronts the Atlantic Ocean with pristine beaches. It is an undisturbed nature preserve with no hotels or other dwellings on the island, but camping is allowed.

Little Tybee Island

This 46 foot tower has an eastern side that is shaped like the prow of a ship to help it withstand the battering it takes from the waters that surround it. During the Civil War when the Confederate forces fell to the Union the Cockspur Lighthouse stood directly in the line of fire in the 30 hours of battle. Amazingly, the lighthouse suffered no damage.

One of the best Italian Ice & Frozen Custard Places! I would highly recommend everyone go and try this if possible, it never disappoints. Also, it's conveniently very close to the airbnb so perfect to pick up on the way home from the beach.

A great place for fresh shellfish, with a down to earth atmosphere. The restaurant is located along an alligator lagoon and is a fantastic place to watch the sun set! The restaurant is very laid back and homey, which is a great way to end a long day at the beach.

A dive bar pizza and beer restaurant that is a great option for a cheap night out! The restaurant is a favorite of locals for a reason, just know that this is very much a dive bar, so if that is not your scene I would not recommend it!

The best place to go for fried seafood! Additionally the views of the Back River can't be beat, plus you can arrive by car, boat, or seaplane! The dock is right there, so you can have your seafood and rent a kayak, too.
