You can spend a few hours to an entire day here depending on your activities. The Ringling Museum is next door make sure to stop by and see their gardens and art.

Another great Sarasota beach. There is a nice trail that leads to canals and mangrove, great for a jog, or cycle or just a nice walk. If you have a kayak make sure to venture through the canals. There are barbecue pits where you can grill out, they also have playground where you can take your kids. Fun for all ages, solo travelers or groups. Make sure to get there early if you are going on the weekend or you will have a tough time finding parking.
