You can rent bikes, get lunch at the cafe or the Inn, and explore some of the hidden beaches on the "back shore". Also, there is an extensive abandoned WWII bunker,. Battery Steele, that is open to explore--just be aware that it's not maintained or staffed, so use common sense (and bring a flashlight).

Battery Steele, that is open to explore--just be aware that it's not maintained or staffed, so use common sense (and bring a flashlight).
